Dr. Ali Erdemir, a leading scientist in the field of tribology, has been awarded the prestigious “Tribology Gold Medal” by the Tribology Trust Awards Committee, administered by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IEEE), London, in collaboration with the International Tribology Council (ITC) Executive, an award established in 1972 and ranking the world highest distinction in the field of Tribology.
Throughout his 30-year career, Dr. Erdemir has pioneered innovative solutions to reduce friction and wear, most notable are coatings and solid lubricants that enable ultra-low friction under extreme conditions, thus significantly contributing to energy conservation and environmental sustainability in mechanical systems. His work significant influences both research and industries such as automotive and aerospace, leaving a lasting impact on tribology.
AC²T would like to thank Dr. Ali Erdemir for his very generous reply to our congratulations, “Indeed, it has been a great honor and privilege to meet and know you all and visit AC²T on several occasions. Under great leadership from you all, AC²T has been and still remains the world’s premier R&D Center advancing the frontiers of tribology toward a sustainable planet. I wish all of you continued success in the coming years.”
We are proud about the cooperation with Dr. Erdemir and congratulate him on behalf of the entire AC²T team!
