The current social, economic and technical change brings new challenges for research and development in tribology.
Scientific methods and highly sophisticated, specialised development and research approaches and the solutions developed from them support the diverse tasks from the product or production-related area and overall modern industrial technologies (key words: ecologisation and digitalisation).
New manufacturing technologies, such as additive technologies, integrated design, customised materials, new lubricant concepts, ecological requirements and the far-reaching change in the already available or expected technical concepts of drive technology (e.g. e-mobility) are fields of activity, challenges and opportunities for the tribotechnology(s) of today and tomorrow.
The ÖTG Symposium 2022 will focus on future-oriented tribometric methods and sophisticated analytics. The event offers participants the opportunity not only to inform themselves by means of lectures, but also to visit the latest research infrastructure of the Centre of Excellence for Tribology and other research facilities at the venue.
