Statistical evaluation of tribometrical data
As Austrian Competence Center for Tribology (www.ac2t.at) we have been developing knowledge in the fields of friction, wear and lubrication for 15 years. The work in our research area involves a variety of tasks and requires interdisciplinary approaches.
For the advertised topic of a Master thesis we are looking for
a student (m/f)
interested in the field of multi-variate data evaluation of chemical-physical data originating from tribometrical measurements.
The goal of the Master thesis is the evaluation and elaboration of statistical methods for the analysis of mechanical contact behaviour. For this purpose, various types of data, e.g., friction progress as time series, wear as numerical values, will be consolidated for statistical examination. In detail, correlations between lubricity and lubricant composition as well as operating conditions shall be explored. The data base comprises the findings from more than 500 experiments.
