Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be a game changer in the predictive maintenance in industry. With the right choice of online sensors, AI can see changes in the operational condition of components well before failure occurs. This gives maintenance personnel enough time to change the components in time. For acceptance and wide-spread application in SMEs established and easy-to-use tools are missing, which should be developed in this project.

Furthermore, one of the main goals is to bring the methods to the attention of SMEs and encourage their use. This will be achieved through research and demonstration of AI algorithms for predictive maintenance, with special attention to the knowledge and needs of SMEs in the programme region.

The consortium bundles the knowledge of 6 partners, namely Software Competence Center Hagenberg GmbH (AT, lead), AC2T research GmbH (AT), Compas automatizaca, spol. s.r.o (CZ), Intemac Solutions, s.r.o. (CZ), Profactor GmbH (AT), University of South Bohemia (CZ).

The project is funded within the framework of Interreg Austria-Czech Republic 2014-2020.
