Junior Scientist

Core tasks: Independent scientific work under guidance. Collaboration in the definition of R & D projects and project goals, coordination of individual project sections, writing scientific papers which can be used for academic advancement, e.g. in bachelor/master thesis or dissertation, participation in publications as team member or primary author, active and passive participation in professional events and further training measures, participation in the acquisition of R & D service contracts, independent processing of R & D service contracts.

Prerequisites: Graduate of a university or university of applied sciences (or comparable training) with a strong interest in research and development, ability to work independently, team-oriented
Training: Learning-by-doing, writing scientific papers, presentation techniques

Career path: Building individual core competencies, qualifying for the "researcher" career stage within 7 years or with outstanding achievements for the "senior researcher" career stage.

Exit path: junior scientists in training reorient themselves after completing their degrees: either externally towards the industrial sector or internally as experts in the organization for the delivery of R&D services.
